What are EMS and EMA training?
Do you want to strengthen your muscles and are looking for a workout that fits into your daily routine? EMS training was developed precisely for this purpose. The abbreviation stands for “electrical muscle stimulation”: During the workout, electrical impulses are transmitted through electrodes on the skin to the muscles, triggering muscle contractions. With full-body EMS, several large muscle groups can be targeted simultaneously. EMA is a form of EMS that is significantly more advanced technologically and in its effects. Find out what distinguishes the two systems and how they work on the following page.
What is EMS training?
How does it affect my body?
With every conscious movement, your brain sends electrical signals through the nerves to your muscles. During EMS / EMA training, external impulses imitate or supplement this natural process. Electrodes in the suit transmit the impulses through your skin to the nerves that activate your muscles. Before the electrical signals reach your muscles and take effect there, the current must first overcome the resistance of your skin. The higher the frequency - that is, the number of impulses per second, measured in hertz - the more easily this resistance can be overcome.
Another advantage of the higher frequency is the deeper and broader effect of the impulses (volume effect). The signal is also retained in deeper tissue layers and activates them naturally. It can also have a positive effect on cell voltage. Healthy cell voltage supports metabolism and therefore blood circulation and the supply of oxygen to cells. Thanks to its higher frequency, our EMA training is therefore clearly superior to conventional EMS training.
During EMS / EMA, your muscles contract as they do during conventional strength training. Unlike conventional strength training, however, you can target a large number of muscle groups simultaneously in a single session. In addition, no complex exercises are required. This makes effective training possible even for people with physical limitations or little experience.
GENERAL BENEFITS OF EMA / EMS TRAINING
Effective
EMA / EMS activates a wide range of muscle groups simultaneously, allowing faster results in less time,
Gentle on the joints
EMA / EMS is especially gentle on the joints, as no complex movements or heavier weights are required.
Time-saving
Targeting multiple muscle groups simultaneously reduces the workout time to 20 minutes, with the same training effect as a long strength-training session.
Training for everyone
Unlike strength training, EMA / EMS requires no prior knowledge and can also be performed at an advanced age or with physical limitations.
