EMS / EMA technology
EMS (Electromyostimulation): In low-frequency EMS, electrical impulses are transmitted through electrodes placed on the skin or on special functional clothing to the muscles to be trained, causing an involuntary contraction of the muscles located under the electrodes. EMS stimulates the muscle exclusively with low-frequency stimulus currents (usually in the range between 1-120 Hz) via the motor nerves.
EMA (Electromyostimulation): Is a form of EMS training that works with medium-frequency stimulation currents. The medium-frequency stimulation currents of the Kraftwunder EMA suits use carrier waves of about 2000 Hz. The muscle contraction can be triggered directly in the muscle cell instead of exclusively through the motor nerve. The medium-frequency stimulation currents also penetrate the galvanic resistance of the skin more quickly. Both factors contribute to the electrical impulses feeling significantly more pleasant during training and to reduced muscle soreness.
Unlike EMS suits, the electrical stimulation of EMA suits allows the muscle cells to be activated more physiologically. The muscle contraction can be triggered directly in the muscle cell instead of exclusively through the motor nerve as with classic EMS. This not only leads to a faster breakthrough of the galvanic skin resistance. Both factors contribute to the electrical impulses feeling significantly more pleasant during training and to less muscle soreness.

During training with low-frequency EMS, you feel an intense tingling that activates your muscles. In contrast, the higher current frequency of the medium-frequency EMA suits is gentler on the nerves. EMA training is perceived as more pleasant and significantly reduces the previously mentioned tingling, or it only occurs at a much higher intensity.
Ordering process
During the ordering process through our webshop, you will be asked for your clothing size. In addition to the classic clothing sizes, you can also view a detailed size chart that shows all the measurements of our EMS / EMA suits.
An essential quality feature of our suits is their stretchability. If you are a few centimeters outside the size chart for a particular measurement, this is not a big deal. What is important is that the suit fits snugly and you can move comfortably at the same time. For example, if you have broad shoulders and a very slim waist, please order the suit so that it fits in the chest area. We provide corresponding Velcro zipper bands so that you can taper the suit at the slightly loose spots accordingly.
If the suit does not fit, you can of course exchange it with us free of charge.

The app for our training systems is free of charge. It can be downloaded for free from the App Store (Apple) as well as from the Google Play Store (Android).
EMS / EMA suits (technology, repair, etc.)
The control units as well as our training suits are designed for a higher number of users in the PRO version. They are more durable and therefore ideal for studio use. However, the effect of the training systems for home use does not differ from the suits used in EMS / EMA studios.
Our EMA / EMA suits feature 12 stainless steel electrodes (2 x neck, 2 x chest, 2 x abdomen, 2 x mid-back, 2 x lower back, 2 x buttocks) as well as two silver electrodes each for the arms and legs. In total, our systems therefore have 16 electrodes.
Important: More significant than the number of electrodes is the area they cover. The larger this area, the larger the region through which the current flows and the muscle mass reached. For example, our arm and leg electrodes are ring electrodes. They distribute the current over the entire cuff surfaces.
Our EMS / EMA training suits are specially wired so that very dynamic movements can be performed without restriction.
The battery life of our power boxes usually lasts for 15-20 training sessions of 20 minutes each without recharging – depending on the training intensity. However, we recommend not letting the battery run completely empty, as this can reduce the battery's lifespan.
Our Kraftwunder app is supported by iOS and Android. It can be downloaded for free from the App Store (Apple) as well as from the Google Play Store (Android).
Our app is connected to your suit via Bluetooth. An internet connection is therefore not required. You can thus do your training even in places where there is no good internet connection.
Your training data is stored exclusively for you in the app on your phone. It is not collected centrally. We cannot view your data. Your data is maximally protected.

Training with our suit systems
Basically, the use of our training systems is not hazardous to health. However, there are characteristics that generally exclude the use of EMS / EMA systems. The following circumstances are to be understood hereunder:
- Existing muscle soreness, cramps, or neurological disorders
- Electronic implants such as a pacemaker
- Cardiovascular diseases or tumor diseases
- Short-term illnesses (e.g., in case of a cold)

If you exhibit any of the characteristics mentioned above or are unsure whether training with EMS / EMA is suitable for you, we recommend that you consult your doctor beforehand.
Important: The electrodes must not be placed on injured skin, open wounds, or fresh scars.
Training with our EMS / EMA suits is especially suitable for people who are overweight. Training at home, the flexible suit, and the avoidance of heavy weights protect the joints and enable effective and practical training for everyday life. The basal metabolic rate is significantly increased by just a 20-minute training session, so you will feel the first training successes after only a few weeks.
Performing exercises during your EMS / EMA training is not required. It is sufficient to tense the muscles. The training can therefore be carried out statically without movement.
Our suits are wireless systems with a high-performance battery.
Both enable training in almost any location. Furthermore, the lateral attachment of the power box, the stretchability of the suit fabric, and the special wiring of the training suits ensure full freedom of movement during the execution of your exercises.
Basically, wearing underwear during training is not necessary. However, if you share the suit with another person, for example, it is recommended to wear EMS-compatible base layers for hygienic reasons. You can find the appropriate clothing for our training systems in our webshop.
Training with kraftwunder EMS / EMA suits can greatly support you in achieving your physical goals. This applies to muscle building, fat burning, as well as muscular endurance. The number of training sessions per week is not limited. To get you and your body used to
To get used to the new training load, you should initially train only once a week. After a short familiarization phase, you can increase to two training sessions per week. The training itself lasts about 20 minutes. To ensure optimal recovery, you should observe a rest period of at least 48 hours after each training session.
Important: In cardio and relaxation programs, the number of weekly sessions can be increased because the intensity is lower.
EMA / EMS suits from kraftwunder can be used by multiple people. However, if both people have different body sizes, a second suit would need to be purchased to ensure the best possible fit. The control unit can then be used for both suits. If the same suit is used, it is recommended to wear EMS-compatible underwear for hygienic reasons. You can find the appropriate clothing for our training systems in our webshop.

Important: In general, we recommend using the preset training programs. Custom programs should ideally only be used if you have experience with the parameters mentioned above and the effects of the changes.
Maintenance of our suit systems
As with any training clothing, cleaning is especially important. Turn the suit inside out after each training session and hang it on a hanger in a well-ventilated place so that it can dry quickly. Wash the suit as well as the arm and leg electrodes as needed (odor, dirt, etc.) with chlorine-free delicate detergent (absolutely no hygiene detergent or fabric softener) at 30°C on a normal wash cycle and spin at a maximum of 600 revolutions per minute.
Close the zipper on the suit before washing. The suit must not be washed inside out. Afterwards, please let the suit dry completely before the next use.
The best thing to do is to hang your suit on a hanger and store it in a well-ventilated place so that it can dry properly.
The suit can come into contact with water without any concerns. However, the control unit and the battery are electronic components. Contact with moisture should therefore be avoided.
